Robotic transfer of automotive seats presents unique challenges. Seats are large soft objects that can be difficult for robots to locate and handle consistently. Seats can also be vulnerable to marks and damage.

Tech-Con Automation seat transfer solutions use custom designed End-Of-Arm-Tools. Broad tool surfaces hold the seats securely without chance of damage. Seats are placed on pallets precisely, time after time. Versatile tools even lock and unlock pallet latches.

Simulations are used to work out the most efficient robot paths and fine tune cycle times before any equipment is built and installed.

A robotic seat transfer station can be set up as an upgrade to an existing line. Robot controls can be integrated into the existing PLC.
