Tech-Con builds automation and integrates robots to move castings in foundries.

Castings are often heavy, irregular shapes that can be difficult to move consistently. Tech-Con’s solutions include conveyors and handling equipment that reliably present the castings to the robot.

Automation and robots are used to keep operators at a safe distance from potentially dangerous, uncomfortable environments. Robots are ideally suited to heavy repetitive lifting and accurate placement of heavy and often very hot castings.

The End-Of-Arm-Tools are custom designed to securely hold the mass of the moving casting. The tools are made to withstand repeated thermal stresses that result from moving in and out of the furnace all day.

Once in place, the robot becomes a versatile, long term investment in the furnace facility. To load a different casting, the operator needs only to change out the EOAT and modify the robot program.
